Fallout Preparations – a more natural approach

The possibility of radiation exposure and nuclear fallout are ideas few want to entertain. However with a few simple preparations, you can minimize the potential effects of exposure and keep you and your loved ones healthy.  With the recent meltdown of the Nuclear Facility in Fukushima, Japan those interested in preparedness have once again been alerted to the dangers of a radioactive fallout.  Many have purchased, with a kind of knee-jerk response, enough Potassium Iodide for them and theirs.  But with the purchase of KI (potassium iodine) there is often little understanding of what it does and the potential risks involved. I’ve talked with a few who felt that maybe they should start taking it as a precautionary measure, even though there was no imminent risk or danger in their area.

I have discovered that few really know what to do and how to prepare for a possible nuclear event.  Let me share with you my understanding of how to prepare, prevent, and recover from exposure to radioactive fallout. 

When a nuclear bomb goes off or a nuclear reactor melts down, metals or minerals that are not normally a problem become unstable and have more energy than they should.  The majority of the radiation emitted during a reactor meltdown or a nuclear detonation is the radioactive isotope Iodine-131.  Normal non-radioactive iodine has 127 neutrons and protons and is stable. There are also Cesium-137, Strontium-90 and many radioactive metals/minerals which can pose dangers.  But because Iodine-131 is the major player, that is what the media focuses on.  Exposure to this radioactive iodine will most likely end up in the thyroid gland, which is where iodine is primarily utilized.  If the iodine introduced in the thyroid gland is radioactive, the potential for injury or damage to the cells is very high.  The most common cancer associated with the Chernobyl disaster was thyroid cancer, which was three times higher than the normal rates of thyroid cancer. Understand that using the supplement potassium iodine as your sole treatment, addresses only the thyroid gland and neglects all other aspects of radiation poisoning.

Here's how it works. The thyroid gland, like other organs and glands in the body, have receptor sites or loading docks specifically designed for the specific nutrients that are needed.  If the nutrients goes by a loading dock and the space is already occupied, it will move along until it finds an open space.  The thyroid gland craves and prizes iodine and has a lot of docking ports for it.  When we breathe in or ingest iodine, whether it is healthy iodine (found in salt, seaweed or a potassium iodine tablet) or if it is the radioactive isotope iodine-131, it will most likely end up in the thyroid gland. The key during a radioactive exposure is to have all of the receptor sites or loading docks occupied by healthy iodine so that there is no room for the radioactive iodine.  We can do this by taking potassium iodide or enough of the other forms or sources of iodine to ensure there is no room for the radioactive iodine to be absorbed. 

Taking the recommended dose of potassium iodine can provide approximately 24 hours of protection. Once the iodine is accepted and assimilated, it is off loaded by the receptor site and then distributed throughout the body via the lymphatic system. The receptor site is then available for more iodine, good or bad. Typically one dose or 24 hours worth of protection is enough, assuming you are able to get out of harms way within that time.
Just because potassium iodide can flood the thyroid receptor sites, does not mean that continually or persistently taking it will be of benefit. Taking KI (potassium iodine) just in case and when not directed by local public health or emergency management officials is just plain fool-hardy and can have severe consequences to your endocrine system and even damage a healthy thyroid gland.  Additionally, if you are suffering from an autoimmune disease such as Hashimoto’s it may be best to avoid potassium iodine altogether. There are other options we will discuss, and it is my opinion that if the situation does not warrant dosing up on high levels of potassium iodine, don’t do it.

Learn how to protect yourself from the effects of radiation exposure with proven, safe and natural alternatives.

When directed by local public health or Emergency Management Officials to take KI (potassium iodine), you should do it.  And if at all possible: Get Out of Harms Way!  According to the FDA, the following doses are appropriate to take after internal contamination with (or likely internal contamination with) radioactive iodine:
 
Adults should take 130 mg (one 130 mg tablet OR two 65 mg tablets OR two mL of solution).
Women who are breastfeeding should take the adult dose of 130 mg.
Children between 3 and 18 years of age should take 65 mg (one 65 mg tablet OR 1 mL of solution). Children who are adult size (greater than or equal to 150 pounds) should take the full adult dose, regardless of their age.
Infants and children between 1 month and 3 years of age should take 32 mg ( of a 65 mg tablet OR mL of solution). This dose is for both nursing and non-nursing infants and children.
Newborns from birth to 1 month of age should be given 16 mg ( of a 65 mg tablet or mL of solution). This dose is for both nursing and non-nursing newborn infants.

Fortunately, there are many natural methods and means to deal with radiation exposure that have proven successful with both the prevention and care of radiation injury.  Much has been observed and learned as a result of the nuclear disasters in Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Chernobyl and Fukushima. My professional recommendations are to use the potassium iodine only during the risk of a direct confrontation with radioactive fallout and when directed by authorities (assuming you can get information from officials). However, before, after and during times of risk I would employ several of these other approaches as you are able.

More Modest Approaches
The respected biochemist, Dr. Dan Newell has formulated a protocol using Standard Process supplements that will help protect your body in the chance of radiation exposure.
  These supplements can be taken over a long duration and will have very little if any negative side effects on the body. His recommendations for an adult size are as follows:
Cal-Ma Plus (4-6/day) -  the main focus and KEY is to help your body chelate (deactivate) the major radioactive isotopes Strontium and Cesium which will aggregate in bone tissue causing even worse damage. According to Dr. Newell’s research and experience, this is the most significant part of any radioactive exposure.
Cataplex F (4/day): Great bioavailable source of Iodine (lower dose than Prolamine Iodine)
Super EFF (3-6/day) – Standard Process founder Dr. Royal Lee originally formulated and worked on this product specifically for workers on shipyards that were at risk of being exposed to high levels of radiation
Cyruta Plus (3-6/day) – Dr. Lee also originally worked on this product for workers in shipyards.

Additional Herbal Approaches
Eleuthero: One herb that stands out and has been validated through much research as a result of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster is Eleuthero (formerly known as Siberian Ginseng).  Research shows its ability to counteract the effects of radiation. In addition, it has long-standing adaptogenic and immune supporting functions. Eleuthero reduces the side effects of radiation exposure. In animal and in vitro studies, Eleuthero has demonstrated effects of radiation protection (Yonezawa et al.,1989) and stress reduction (Takasugi et al., 1985). After the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster, many Russian and Ukrainian citizens were given Eleuthero to counteract the effects of radiation. Eleuthero was also commonly used in Russia in oncology hospital departments to increase the tolerance of the patients to the adverse effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy (Gvamichava, 1966; Khatiashvili, 1964, 1966; Kupin, 1986a, 1986b).

Seaweeds such as Dulse, Kelp, Irish Moss and Bladderwrack provide an abundance of natural iodine and offer protection for the thyroid gland.  Generally all seaweeds are good sources of iodine.

Chlorella and Spirulina:  In Chernobyl, Spirulina was used to help save many children from radiation poisoning. By taking 5 grams of Spirulina a day for 45 days, the Institute of Radiation Medicine in Minsk even proved that children on this protocol experienced enhanced immune systems, T-cell counts and reduced radioactivity. Israeli scientists have since treated Chernobyl children with doses of natural beta carotene from Dunaliella algae and proved that it helped normalize their blood chemistry. Chlorella algae, a known immune system builder and heavy metal detoxifier, has also shown radioprotective effects. Because they bind heavy metals, algae should therefore be consumed after exposure to any type of radioactive contamination.  Five grams per day based on a 150 lbs body size is recommended.

With radiation exposure also comes heavy metal toxicity.  Truth be told, because of the air we breath, the food we eat and the water we drink, most of us are carrying too many heavy metals that have no business within us.  For this reason, cleansing and detoxifying the body, radiation exposure or not, can be a very good thing.

Cilantro is referred to as the poor man’s chelation therapy.  The herb cilantro, which we love so much in our salsa, has the ability to grab hold of harmful heavy metals, deactivate and escort them out of the body.  I often recommend two bunches of cilantro per week to my patients, which can be used with juicing, salsa, salads or with homemade pesto.
Cilantro Pesto
Ingredients:
3 garlic cloves garlic, peeled and coarsely chopped 
2 cups fresh cilantro tightly packed 
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 
¼ cup parmesan cheese - crumbled
2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds or pine nuts
2 tablespoons lemon juice 
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions:
1.     Place the garlic and cilantro in a food processor fitted with a metal blade. With the processor running, slowly add the oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Process until smooth.
2.     Serve with noodles, in sauces, as a sandwich spread or make into a salad dressing.
3.     Make several batches and keep in the freezer.  Frozen pesto will keep for nearly a year.

Additional Herbal Standouts include:
Rosemary, Gingko Biloba, Panax Ginseng, Dandelion, Turmeric, Maitake, Reishi and Cordyceps Mushrooms, and Ginger

Bentonite Clay
Not only can you bathe in this to help pull toxins from your skin. Bentonite clay is used by Russian nuclear workers (slathered on their skin) before working with nuclear material. You can use it internally, safely, in moderation to help pull out toxins and absorb radiation. Bentonite clay is used in traditional medicine for treating heavy metal poisoning.

How to Use
Bentonite clays can be used internally and externally. If you are using clay internally be sure that the product states that it is safe for internal use. Due to metals and other impurities that may be found in the clays, not all of them can be taken internally. If you are unsure of the purity of the clay contact the manufacturer.

For internal use, mix 1 to 2 teaspoons of the clay in at least 8 ounces of water. Drink the mixture and follow with another 8 ounces of pure water. It has also been found useful to add fiber to this process to help move the clay along through the digestive tract.

For external use, mix 1 to 2 tablespoons in a bowl with water or apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is antibacterial which may help alleviate some of the underlying causes that aggravate acne. Add the liquid slowly until you develop a muddy consistency. Wash and feel fantastic!

Clays may also be used as a bath. Add 1 to 2 cups of clay to your hot bath water and soak in it for at least 30 minutes for best results.

A foot bath is also useful for detoxing by adding 3 to 4 tablespoons to a tub of hot water and soaking your feet in it for at least 30 minutes.


Miso Soup: made from a paste of fermented soybeans has shown repeatedly benefits in preventing and treating radiation exposure.

Iodine or Betadine – If you find yourself unprepared and all you have at your disposal is iodine tincture or betadine, they can be useful. Do not drink or ingest iodine or Betadine! Avoid them if you have an allergy to iodine (which you most likely do if you’re allergic to shellfish).

If stores in your area are out of potassium iodide tablets don’t fret. Painting on iodine or Betadine will provide a good bit of protection against radioactive iodine. While not as reliable as ingesting potassium iodide (and not as thoroughly scientifically studied), your body will absorb the iodine, which will then travel to and hopefully protect your thyroid gland.
How to paint on iodine: Purchase a bottle of 2% tincture of iodine or Betadine at your local drugstore (you may have to ask for it at the pharmacy). Paint about 2 ml or so on your abdomen (a little less for children) and allow your skin to soak it in. Do this daily until the iodine remains a reddish-orange color on your skin (doesn’t fade). When it stops fading, it means your body has enough iodine. If you’re consistently exposed to radiation, you’ll want to keep painting on the iodine every day.

So imagine with me if you will, we are in a situation where radioactive fallout may become an issue.  No high radiation yet, but the potential is there.  Here are my recommendations for me and mine. Do as many of these are you are able. These measures will also help to cleanse and detox the body in a non-radiation emergency situation.  Determine for yourself how much you may want or need to do.  But I suggest you have things on hand well before the threat of "an event".
Preventative/Preparatory Measures
1)         Begin taking the Standard Process Supplements as directed
2)         Take daily Herbal Tincture – 2 dropperfuls 2-3 times daily.
                        This is our FALLOUT FORMULA
                    1 cup (8oz) - Eleuthero root- cut
                        ½ cup (4oz) – Ginger root – cut
                        2 TBS (1oz) – Dandelion root – cut
                        2 TBS (1oz) – Maitake mushroom - whole
                        2 TBS (1oz) – Reishi mushroom - slices
                        2 TBS (1oz) – Cordyceps mushroom – powder
                        1 TBS (1/2oz) – Ginkgo biloba leaf – cut
                        Blend all of the above in 40% vodka to fill a 2 quart jar. 
                        Shake daily for at least 2 weeks then strain.
3)         Take Chlorella or Spirulina-  3 to 5 grams daily
4)         Eat Cilantro daily – about 2 TBS
5)         Miso soup – at least 2 cups daily.
6)         Move out of harms way as best as possible.
7)         Drink plenty of pure water

Immediately Before and During Fallout
1)         Take KI (potassium iodide) as directed.
2)         Take Bentonite internally and use in a bath externally.
3)         Continue with Cilantro, Miso, Standard Process and Herbs

After Fallout
            Continue supplements as these will continue to cleanse and heal your body whether you’ve had a significant exposure to radiation or not.  All of these natural herbal protocols are safe for long-term use and can benefit for detox purposes whether you’ve participated in a nuclear disaster or are just participating in life on a polluted planet.

Defining Moments

Defining Moments
"Every moment is not equal. Some moments simply pass, others determine the course of life."
 
There are certain moments and minutes that matter, certain hinge points in the history of each of us. Some seconds are so decisive they shrink the soul, while others seconds are spent so as to stretch our spirit. We are each faced with choices that once made will, in many cases, forever open or close doors of opportunity. These pivotal moments can carry with them consequences that can define our life.
One of the great lessons to be learned from those who have made correct choices is that they have decided on their course of action in advance. They have set their lives on such a path that when a moment of decision arrives, their reaction is natural.  

None of us can afford to be unprepared for defining moments. Fortunately we are not alone. I have found that when I surround myself with good friends (ones who are determined like myself to live a good life)  I am more apt to make good choices.  

When I was newly married, Trish and I talked of having children who would be smart, beautiful, talented, etc. Now 30+ years later, I pray for my children to be strong in adversity, to learn from their mistakes and to be compassionate and giving to those within their circle of influence. Too often those who do not have to struggle through life's challenges, do not develop the inner strength required to reach their potential.  

Each of us will have the opportunity to save others from hindering their spiritual missions. Every day we have opportunities to lift and assist others by living in harmony with high values so that others may draw strength from us and likewise make good decisions.
How often has each of us had an opportunity to spread sunshine in the lives of others by simply showing an interest in them - by saying "hello" or by offering to walk with them or eat lunch with them? When we enter a room, do we look for ways to make others comfortable, or are we only concerned with our own grand entrance?

Looking beyond ourselves can bring great satisfaction to us and much joy in the lives of others. An encouraging word uttered at the right moment could make a difference in another's day, or even another's life. Failure to act with courage in defining moments can leave lasting scars on the soul.

As I understand it, defining moments can come in two ways. First, and probably more important are what I call the quiet defining moment. It is when in the solitude of your soul, you determine your future actions. For example, you resolve to shun the grasp of addiction. You decide you will be honest and never cheat. Make a decision once, rather than again and again when situations and circumstances may make you more vulnerable to succumbing to the pressures of the moment. By rehearsing in your minds eye your responses and reaction to various situations, you will prepare yourself for the second type of defining moments. These moments come when we are unaware and have the power to reveal your character for better or worse.    

Early in my high school experience, I had a science teacher, Joel Rosenberg. He had taught a segment of my freshman science course and upon seeing me as a sophomore in his science class (the class for the dumb or lazy kids) said to me. "Kyle, you don't belong in this class! You're better than this. Next semester I want to see you in my chemistry class." At that point in my life, I was struggling with my self worth and had decided to take the easy road and not challenge myself academically. When I was encouraged by a teacher who saw more in me than I could see in myself, I rose to the challenge. In less than a minute, this man boosted by self-worth and self-confidence that put me on the right track with my schooling. For me, this was a defining moment.

Please take some time to reflect on your defining moments. Who or what has influenced your life. Are you conducting your life as you should?  Are there course corrections that can be made? Vices or addictions that need to be rooted out?   

Define your life to be one filled with love, service and the blessing of others.  That my friends is "the secret".  Happiness cannot or never will be found in acquiring material possessions or in any selfish pursuit (however you may justify it).

Eating healthy is so simple.  It's just not easy.  The challenge, as I discussed the other day, is that those who struggle with health issues generally are looking for shortcuts or they have fallen victims of taste buds that have been damaged by unhealthy foods. 

Did you know that whole, natural healthy nutritious foods are what the body craves and desires?  It is through eating highly processed foods that our tastes change.  Additionally, as the digestive tract becomes unhealthy (the good bacteria are killed off and there is a predominance of the unhealthy ones), we crave sweets, Carbs and unnatural chemicals.  The classic example of this is Diet Sodas - to anyone who does not consume these - they taste NASTY!!!! But once addicted to the caffeine and chemicals - you love it and crave it and can't live without it.  That is addictive chemistry, not taste buds rejoicing.

Good digestive health results in desiring and craving healthy nourishing foods.  Fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds, raw milk and cheeses and healthy meats. 

Is it time for you to get healthy? Still looking for a shortcut to health or weight loss?  Eating healthy really is simple.  It is a matter of turning away from those foods that you already know are NOT healthy and organizing your pantry and fridge with healthy foods ONLY.   Simple, but not easy.

Short Cuts

It is interesting that so much of our economy and mindsets are focused on shortcuts. In a culture that is fixated on immediate gratification, it can be difficult convincing someone of the value of slow steady incremental progress toward a goal.

There lies two opposing methods of operation, which come from, I believe, two opposing forces. Prophets, sages and wise men and women as well as scripture have long used examples from nature as a model for obtaining growth, progress and happiness. You plant the seed, care for it, nurture it and some time down the road you will reap the benefits of your work.

Other plans offer "get rich" quick schemes. Plans of entitlement - reaping the benefits of anothers work. Buy it now, pay for it later. Quick guaranteed weight loss. The easy road to riches. The fast track to success.

Most men and women are naturally lazy. We want to expend the least amount of effort for the greatest possible benefit. We often look for paths other than the tried and True methods. But the Tried and True are successful because they work. If "shortcut" or more efficient way is found, it no longer is a shortcut, but becomes part of the "Tried and True" method.

Let's take for example weight loss, since that is something many of us reflect on at the New Year. I promise you there IS a tried and true method to losing weight and maintaining good health. It is the plan of God and nature. Namely, eating healthy food (Whole Natural Foods and avoid processed foods), exercising regularly, getting enough rest (which means for most of us at LEAST 8 hours EVERY night), and managing stress. Health is a lifestyle, it cannot be something on your checklist to get done, then move on with what you really would rather be doing.

The world, and by the world I mean all of the slick marketing schemes, offers pills, potions, and a variety of ways to "trick" the body into losing weight QUICK. Drink delicious shakes (of course they are laden with all kinds of chemicals). Lose weight without exercise. The biggest lie of them all is DIET SODA.  
 
Another hugh deception is the Low-Carb Diet: yes, you lose water weight very quickly but result in a rebounding of weight like nothing else and the end result is poorer health.

The reality is, there are no effective shortcuts without consequences. Some may argue that when it comes to money, some have successfully obtained it (money) in quick, lucky or risky ways. If your objective is money, this may be true. However, the motivation behind having lots of money is not the fact of having lots of money, but having happiness. The adversary to God and his designs has effectively instilled in the minds of most people that money should be the goal and design of their life's ambitions. Money, however, is not happiness. Read about the fate of lottery winners, which are extreme examples of sudden wealth.
 
So my question to you as we begin this New Year: Whose Plan are you going to follow? Do you have the maturity, the faith and the trust to follow the wisdom that has proven itself time and again? Are you willing to follow God's ways by sowing seeds of good dietary and exercise habits? Or are you still thinking that "the latest scientific finding", the latest multi-level scheme, the slick celebrity endorsed advertisement is really the way for you? Really? Do you still hang on to hope that one of these shortcuts will make you slimmer, richer or younger looking?

Talking with a friend he asked if I could sum up Satan's methods in one word. Shortcut. I believe that this hook - the shortcut - has deceived and cheated most of us. And like gambling, sometimes you win, but most times you lose. And your net result will be a loss and a lot of wasted time.

So I ask you take stock of your life or even an aspect or two. Are you pursuing any shortcuts? Physical shortcuts: for losing weight or getting healthy? Mental shortcuts: cramming for tests and not really learning and understanding? Emotional shortcuts: well, I spend "quality time" - as an excuse for glossing over important relationships? Spiritual shortcuts: going through the motions spiritual routines - scriptures, prayer, etc. - without striving for actual communing with God?

If our goal and objective in life truly is, as it should be, happiness. Is there really such a thing as a shortcut to happiness?

Let me just mention a few suggestions on Weight Loss, since I've bashed some of the advertised nonsense. For many following "a plan" or program will be helpful. The key, in my mind, is developing an understanding and philosophy that is true. My wife and I read diet books - not so much to jump on the latest fad but to find and share with others what we belief may be good and useful. We both really like The Daniel Plan by Rick Warren.
 
We believe it is nutritionally sound and brings in a spiritual component that is important.

Prepared for the FLU?

During Sunday School this week, my wife leaned over and commented on how many people were coughing.  In a room of perhaps 50 people there had to be a least a dozen coughers or those trying to suppress a cough.  We were asked to remember those of our friends who were sick at home. 
Illness effects not only the very young, very old and immune-suppressed but those who are healthy and vibrant.  We have all been taught that most of these contagious illnesses are virus and taking a prescribed antibiotic will not help.  

The CDC (Center for Disease Control) has on multiple occasions sent out warnings that it is not a matter of IF, but WHEN there will be a major pandemic outbreak of some contagious disease.  Current eyes are focused on the H1N1 virus. While I do not recommend the Flu Shot, there is much that can be done using natural remedies and preparations.

Look, there is some scary stuff out there and both the academic and the religious worlds are predicting a massive pandemic with casualties in the millions.  The influenza pandemic of 1918-1919 killed somewhere between 20 and 40 million people.  We know for a certainty that traditional medical care may not be successful in treating these types of illness.  And even if it were, it is not likely there will be enough medicine to go around.  We also know that natural or alternative treatments, likewise, will not all be successful.  Some protocols work great for someone, but not for others.

There are 3 factors that will influence whether or not we get sick and how sick we get.
1)    The integrity of the Immune System.  If our resistance and immunity is strong, we can remain healthy and fight off exposure to diseases effectively.  Diet plays an important role.  Understand that eating sugar and sweets will depress your immune system.
2)    The amount of exposure to the pathogen or disease.  There is a big difference between walking in a room where someone may have coughed and sneezed three hours ago and having that person sneeze repeatedly right in your face. We should each do what we can to minimize exposure.  Have N95 masks on hand – just in case.
3)    The virulence of the pathogen or disease.  This means how nasty the virus is.  Some viruses are fairly benign and are easily combated.  Other are potentially very harmful and resistant.  Sometimes a very minimal exposure to something quite deadly is no big deal if your immune system is healthy.  One the other hand, a large exposure to a deadly virus can overwhelm even the most robust immune system.
I encourage each of us to have multiple natural remedies on hand.  People ask me all the time if ___________ (fill in the blank) will definitely work for the ‘coming plague”.  The answer, of course, is “I don’t know”.  So here is MY plan: I will have stockpiled (enough for my family – you need to get your own) a variety of remedies and will trust on spiritual guidance to direct me when and how much of whatever I may feel inspired to use.  I recommend each of you to do likewise.

Here are a few natural remedies that cost little and would be wise to have on hand – just in case.

Oil of Oregano
Noted remote viewing expert, Ed Dames said the following recipe will save your lives.
1 gallon distilled water
20 drops oil of oregano
shake it really well
drink it a few times a day until symptoms are gone. This will kill harmful pathogens in your respiratory tract 

Making your own Oil of Oregano is easy.  Please do not confuse oil of oregano with Oregano Essential Oil.  Straight essential is too potent and will damage (burn) the membranes in your mouth and digestive tract.

Ingredients
  • Olive Oil - Organic Extra Virgin – ½ to ¾ cups
  • Fresh Oregano leaves - About ½ cup packed tightly
  • Sanitized pint size canning Jar with lid
  • Optional – 20 drops of oregano essential oil
Instructions
  1. Boil some water in sauce pan. Once boiling turn off the heat.
  2. Finely chop the fresh oregano leaf or quickly pulse blend oregano with the oil
  3. Then placed the oil and blended or chopped oregano leaves in a pint sized jar.
  4. Place the jar into the hot water and let it sit for about 5-10 min. This allows the oil to heat up and helps give the oregano a kickstart of the releasing of its oils.
  5. Add a little oregano essential oil for a little stronger formula.
  6. Keep the jar on your kitchen counter and shake the jar every day.
  7. Strain the oil from the leaves after about 2 week.  You can keep the leaves in it longer if you like. If your olive oil was fresh, it should keep for about 3 years.
  8. Store the oil in a dark, cool place. Olive oil solidifies when refrigerated.  A cool cupboard is fine.

Oil of Oregano is a potent antiseptic and is highly effective for killing a wide range of fungi, yeast and bacteria, as well as parasites and viruses. It has a wide variety of uses: digestion, colds, warts and boils, gum diseases; as an anti-fungal, Oil of Oregano may be beneficial in such diseases as psoriasis, eczema and seborrhea, as well as many chronic ear, sinus and lung problems that are caused by fungus. Oil of Oregano's active ingredient, carvacrol, was found to completely kill candida yeast. Viruses, such as those that cause shingles, cold sores and genital herpes, are also killed by Oil of Oregano. Mexican research showed that Oil of Oregano killed Giardia, a parasite that is difficult to kill. The oil is also an immune system stimulant. Polish researchers did a comparative study of some 40 herbs. Only one, wild oregano, dramatically stimulated the immune system, which was measured by increased cellular levels of interferon. An unusual use, and one that is important during disasters or camping, is that Oil of Oregano is good for sterilizing water.
Use: apply sublingually, topically, or in juice or water. May also be added to foods for a spicy and healthy effect. For topical use apply directly to the affected area once or twice a day; use more often if necessary. If rash or irritation occurs, discontinue use.
For internal use add a few drops of Oil of Oregano to water, juice or milk

Colloidal Silver

Silver has been used since ancient Greek and Roman times as an antimicrobial, for preserving foods and liquids and medicinally. Then, in the early Twentieth Century, allopathic medicine monopolized all medical practice, favoring only synthetic pharmaceuticals.

As the medical monopoly's antibiotic wave began to lose favor among some, silver products in the form of liquid particle suspensions (colloidal) and ionic homemade solutions began re-emerging.

During the 1980s, lab testing at Syracuse University and the UCLA School of Medicine demonstrated how colloidal silver was highly effective against bacteria, viruses, and fungal organisms, even those that had become resistant to antibiotics. [1]


Make sure your colloidal silver is at least 10 ppm – 5 ml or 1 tsp – 3 times daily.
You can also use the colloidal or sometimes called ionic silver is a nebulizer and inhale it (24-48 inhalations) or as a nasal spray (6 – 8 sprays) three times daily

Anti-Plague Formula
The best insurance in the world against the “predicted coming plagues,” and “killing diseases ,” is to have the body in a good healthy condition. Disease germs are merely scavengers, and can only live on toxins, mucous and residues from junk foods. They cannot and will not damage healthy cell structure. Therein lies the key!!! Have a healthy, clean body and disease germs will bypass you, wanting nothing to do with your body because it would be “obnoxiously clean” (in their language) with no filth for them to live on. If the plague or some other epidemic hits before you are in a good healthy condition, it is good to have an aid for a fast cleaning!

Hydrogen Peroxide - Internal Use
Over the last one hundred years many thousands of people have reported a number of health benefits from the internal use of Hydrogen Peroxide.
Bio-oxidative therapy (the treatment of the body with extra oxygen) has been used by many medical practitioners to treat a variety of conditions from cancer to gangrene. This extra oxygen is delivered in a number of different ways including adding ozone (O3) to the blood, the use of hyper-barric oxygen chambers (breathing oxygen (O2) under pressure) and through either the intravenous or oral use of hydrogen peroxide.
We have learnt that many people purchase food grade hydrogen peroxide to take orally, so thought it best to provide as much information as possible about the oral use of hydrogen peroxide. Although we do not recommend any particular method (because we’re not allowed to!!) we have set out below a number of ‘protocols’ that have been used safely by people wishing to try and rid themselves of various ailments.
Normally we would include the caveat here that you should consult your doctor before attempting any course of treatment. However, asking a doctor what he thinks about taking hydrogen peroxide will normally illicit the usual ignorant response as no doubt, he/she knows very little if anything on the subject. So we repeat here our disclaimer, that we are all responsible for our own health, and as responsible retailers of hydrogen peroxide we shall do our utmost to provide you with as much information as we can so that you can make educated decisions about how you use our products.
Hydrogen peroxide occurs naturally in many of the bodily processes (in particular our immune systems) and in unpolluted regions of our planet hydrogen peroxide falls with the rain. If it was dangerous to have hydrogen peroxide in our bodies we would have died out as a species long ago.
As with so many things the toxicity is in the dose.
No one would consider it dangerous to take one aspirin, in fact it can save the life of someone who is having a heart attack.
Would it be considered dangerous to take 700 aspirins? Of course it would, it would kill you!!
35% hydrogen peroxide is 700 times more concentrated than the amount that is considered safe.
Always dilute your 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide in distilled water. Tap or mineral water contains dissolved minerals that will react with the extra oxygen, wasting it.

Never take hydrogen peroxide with food in your stomach. For most people this means an hour and a half either side of food. However if you feel a little nauseous after taking the H2O2 it could be because you haven't left it long enough. Vitamin C, iron and fats in the stomach change hydrogen peroxide into super-oxide free radicals. This can severely damage the lining of your stomach. The same is true of iron, copper, silver or manganese so if you are supplementing these minerals. DO NOT TAKE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE INTERNALLY WITH ANYTHING IN YOUR STOMACH.
Hydrogen Peroxide is also thought to boost the immune system, so if you have recently had an organ transplant do not take hydrogen peroxide as it may cause your body to reject the transplant.
The protocol outlined below is suggested by Dr David G. Williams , and is based on many years of experience and reports from thousands of users.
Start the program using 5 ounces (150ml) of distilled water. As you increase the amount of drops increase the amount of water.

After you have completed the above 16 day protocol, you must then progress onto the maintenance protocol.
The frequency of Hydrogen Peroxide dosage should be reduced as follows;

If, after increasing the dose, you feel nauseous drop back the dose to a level that you are comfortable with.
Dr Williams recommends that for more serious complaints you should stay at 25 drops, 3 times per day for 1-3 weeks. Next graduate down to 25 drops, 2 times per day until the problem is taken care of. This may take 1-6 months, so don’t give up!!
Once free of complaints you may taper off by taking:
25 drops once every other day, 4 times.
25 drops once every third day for 2 weeks.
25 drops once every fourth day for 3 weeks.
Dr Williams believes that a good maintenance dose would be 5-15 drops per week, depending on how you feel.

Those with chronic systemic Candidiasis may need to start with 1 drop 3 times a day, then 2 drops 3 times a day before starting the above schedule.
Taking vitamin E (either through foods or supplements) will help your body make better use of the extra available oxygen.
It is also highly recommended that you take an acidophilus pro-biotic to help re-establish the beneficial bacteria in the lower bowel and also help in the internal production of hydrogen peroxide.
One doctor who has considerable experience in working with bio-oxidative therapies is William Campbell Douglass MD. In his book Medical Miracle, Douglass suggests that anyone who wishes to take hydrogen peroxide internally should never exceed the recommended dose of 10 drops of undiluted 3% hydrogen peroxide three times per day. I recommend this book to anyone who is considering using hydrogen peroxide and who wants to learn more about the amazing work being undertaken with bio-oxidative therapy.
Finally, another great source of information about Hydrogen Peroxide is the book 'The Truth about Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide' by James Paul Roguski.
In it he recommends that 4 tablespoons (60ml) of 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide be added to every gallon of distilled water that you drink.
