Benefits of Redmond Clay

The Redmond Clay Story

Millions of years ago, long before modern pollutants contaminated the Earth, a range of volcanoes erupted—sending volcanic ash into the water of the ancient Sundance Sea that covered much of North America. The water in this sea evaporated, leaving behind a bed of mineral-rich sodium bentonite.
Fremont Indians living in what is now rural Southern Utah once told tales of the healing properties of this clay deposit, which the legend holds was discovered when the natives noticed herds of deer frequently gathering to nibble at the soil around the deposit.  Native Americans were known to carry a ball of clay with them in their packs, dissolving some in water and with their meals to ward off the effects of stomach ailments and food infections, and the practice persisted for generations.
During the 1960’s, the Bosshardt family began experimenting with the clay deposit on their property, using it as the Indians had to treat bee stings and upset stomach, and eventually began hearing from local health food stores inquiring about the benefits of the clay.  The interest prompted them to send a sample to be tested in a lab, and when the results showed it was safe for human use, the family began selling the healing clay under the name Redmond Clay®.
Redmond Clay® has grown up a bit since then, but the product remains as pure as it was when the Fremonts discovered its uses.   The ancient volcanic ash is carefully extracted from deep within the earth, bringing it to you in its pure, natural state.  Many people consider it their first aid kit in a bottle. We couldn't agreee more!
This bentonite clay contains just about equal parts of calcium and sodium so it shares the advantages of both (literature abounds on the Internet about the advantages and disadvantages of calcium bentonite versus sodium bentonite. Not every source is reliable though so question everything!).
Since zero to only negligible counts of bad bacteria metal or virus are ever detected in regularly-administered clinical analyses of the clay and since the clay is a pure bentonite with no foreign matter contained in it, it is completely safe for internal consumption as well as external application.

External Uses: Detoxification: Apply it as a slurry to the skin and allow it to dry (1/2 hr - 2 hrs) then clean off. You can also mix several tablespoons - 1/2 cup to 2 cups of the clay into your bath water and soak in it for 45 min or longer. Foot baths with the clay also are great. FYI 1 to 2 hr clay facials leave a youthful soft and tingling feeling and look to your skin! Skin Problems: Apply a slurry of the clay to the affected area and wrap with a cotton cloth to form a poultice. To prevent it from drying out too fast you may also wrap the cloth with plastic. Great for rosacea, eczema, rashes (including diaper - sprinkle it on dry at diaper changes), boils, bone felons (inflammation of outer bone membrane – periosteum), hang nails, infections of all kinds (including fungus) cuts, wounds, bruises, etc. Bites and Stings: Apply immediately to bites and stings of all kinds (while you're seeking immediate medical help as need be) - snake, spider, other bugs, bees, wasps, dogs, cats, (scratches as well) etc.

Internal Uses: Detoxification: The clay particles are negatively charged and when taken internally, they magnetically attract the mostly positively-charged toxins, bacteria, virus, metals, radioactive contaminants, etc onto their surface and out through elimination.

Radioactive Contamination: As just mentioned, bentonite clay is a known antidote, if you will, for radioactive contamination.  Along with boron, bentonite clay was used at Chernobyl to curtail what would have been an even more devastatingly widespread contamination.

GI Tract Problems: Redmond Bentonite Clay works wonders with correcting digestive disorders, pH imbalance, bowel disorders of all kinds (including colitis, candida, acid reflux, diarrhea, dysentery, ulcers, and more)

All Natural Redmond Betonite Clay has a myriad of beneficial uses. It can eliminate food allergies, food poisoning, mucus colitis, spastic colitis, viral infections such as stomach flu, and parasites (parasites are unable to reproduce in the presence of clay). Betonite Clay works well with burns, bug bites, detoxification, etc. It can be used externally in many ways such as a clay poultice, mud pack or in the bath, as well as in skin care applications. In addition, it can be taken internally with water or spread upon food.

Take Internally
Mix 1 teaspoon of dry powder clay in a half glass of water, stir it up, and let it sit 6 to 8 hours. Then drink either the clear liquid off the top, or stir it up and drink all of it. Depending on your liking, you can drink it in the morning, throughout the day, or in the evening. People find that the clay water tastes better cold than at room temperature.
  • Because the clay draws toxins to itself, some conditions may appear worse before they get better.
  • Do not leave metal in contact with the wet clay, as it will quickly rust.
Conveniently, have Redmond Clay available to drink by adding 1/4  cup of dry powder Redmond Clay to a two/three quart glass pitcher of water, stir it briskly and put it in the refrigerator. Within a few hours, the clay will settle to the bottom and most of the water will be clear. Drink freely, and when the water level gets low just wash out the remaining sediments and start over. In the book, Our Earth Our Cure, notes that drinking the clear water off the top gives basically the same results as drinking the clay itself.
Some sources recommend that you drink the clay water once a day. However, we have received feedback from customers that have had great success drinking it multiple times a day, and others drink as the need arises.

Apply Externally
Prepare Redmond Clay for external use by mixing it with enough water to make a gel about the consistency of mustard. Use filtered or distilled water when available, but you can use tap water as well. Once mixed it will never dry out, separate, or go bad as long as you store it in an air tight container. If it does start to dry out, simply add more water and stir. The Redmond Clay gel can be stored in the fridge, the cupboard, or car; heat and cold do not affect it.
There are many different ways of using the clay externally. One of the best ways is to apply it generously in a 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch layer directly on the skin. An alternative that allows for more mobility is to apply the gel to a piece of cheese cloth, fold the cloth as if making a 'burrito', and secure to the skin with an ace bandage.
After applying there are several options:
Uncovered: Some people put on the clay and leave it uncovered so that it dries out within the hour. As it dries, it will draw or pull.

Covered with Cloth: Covering the Redmond Clay with a cloth will hold it in place and cause the clay to dry slower. Doing this enables you to leave the clay on overnight or to walk around the house without getting wet clay all over the furniture. Wetting the cloth with water will slow the drying rate and cause more of a cooling sensation.

Covered with Plastic: Covering the Redmond Clay Gel with plastic wrap or a plastic bag keeps the clay from drying out which is important if you are applying to a burn. Even though the clay doesn't dry out, some people will wash the clay off and replace it once or twice a day. Other people have left the same pack on a burn for a couple of days until the burn was 'just pink skin'. One key: Do not let the clay dry on a burn; keep it moist until it is time to wash it off.

Using the Dry Redmond Clay: People say using it as baby powder causes diaper rash to disappear by the next diaper change. Some people feel that sprinkling the dry Redmond Clay on an open, infected wound causes more of a drawing/healing action than using the gel.

Clay Baths: Many people in the health food industry feel that the skin is a primary avenue for detoxificaiton. Putting Redmond Clay in the bath seems to increase the drawing effect which helps people detoxify. To use the clay for a clay bath, simply add 1/2 to 2 cups of Redmond Clay under the faucet as you fill the tub of hot water. Soak in it for 30 to 45 minutes.
An alternate technique is do a foot bath. To do this simply put 3 tablespoons of the Redmond Clay in a pan of water and soak your feet for 30- 45 minutes.

Shopping for Redmond Clay can be very expensive or quite inexpensive.  At the Health Food Store you can pick up a jar of Redmond Clay for about $10 for 10oz.  That is $800 for 50 pounds.  We get ours at the animal feed store (IFA) for $8.99 for 50 lbs.  As far as we can tell, it comes from the exact same source, but is packaged differently.

Illness and Injury
as a Spiritual Path
It seems as though so many of us are on life’s troubled path that is wrought with difficulty, pain and trouble. Too often our course in life seems to be more of a distraction that pulls us away from our happiness and spiritual growth than foster it. But perhaps, in reality, this path of hardship and sorrow may be exactly the path set before us on our journey of peace and spiritual development.

Sometimes we are inclined to see those who suffer and judge that they have brought on their troubles because of wrong decisions or behavior. Sometimes this is true. Many or even most of today's chronic and degenerative health problems are the natural consequences of poor or unhealthy lifestyle choices. Eating too much processed foods and sweets, inadequate exercise, not enough sleep, and poor management of stress will all lead to the eventual breakdown of health.

Other problems are truly beyond our direct control and can result from circumstances or behaviors of others. Regardless of how we got there, illness and injury can and must be our starting point to a better life. Heck, life’s journey would be futile if “you couldn’t get there from here”. So no matter where you are in the course of your condition, the starting point for your healing is exactly where you are, right now!

How to Get Started
Remember, this is a spiritual journey on the path to happiness. First, you must understand that there is no magic pill. It is not likely that your recovery will pivot on the precise combination of essential oils, the correct pH of water, the right combination of vitamins or herbs, or even the masterfully delivered chiropractic adjustment or physical therapy procedure. People come through my office every week looking for that one thing that will require minimal effort on their part (“Here, just take this pill and you can expect a remarkable recovery”) and produce maximum improvement. Rarely, does this happen. Many are not yet ready to come to grips with this reality and will keep searching, going from doctor to doctor and laying out hundreds even thousands of dollars in hope of finding “the cure”. And trust me, there is a never ending line of those with palms opened to take your money.

I am not saying that there are not good and effective treatments and therapies out there. I am saying, that there are many treatments and therapies that are not right for you. And what is right and beneficial for one may not produce the same results for another. Boy, it sure would be easier if there was consistency in treatment and results. But it is kind of like raising kids. There are general principles that hold true, but not every approach works equally well for every kid. Yes, they all need good nutrition and to learn to work and be respectful. But what motivates one may discourage the other.

Simple But Not Easy
Something that I emphasize with many of my new patients is the importance of listening to your inner voice. I often view myself as a pretty good resource for ideas. Admittedly, I do not have all the answers. My diagnoses are not always correct. I, like you, am trying my best to do my best, but often fall short. With this said, please understand, that each of us has been endowed with a true source of inspiration and light. This is often referred to as our conscience or the Light of Christ. My experience has taught me that this subtle inner voice always (ALWAYS!) speaks the truth. When a course of action or direction is needed, posed by a question as simple as “What should I do?”, answers will come. The challenge is that these answers are not always a direct answer to your question, nor do they always make sense. For example, Question: “What should I do for my tired and aching back?” Answer: “Go do the dishes, your wife has had a difficult day”. WHAT!!! How does me getting up and doing the dishes have to do with helping me feel better. Understand, that God and Spirit see the big picture. My tired back (after a 40 mile bike ride) wanted to rest, but helping in the kitchen brought greater peace and harmony to the home and let’s face it, my tiredness was an inconvenience not a crisis.

But what if your problems or issues are serious? What if you are in crisis? I promise you the same holds true. Listen to the subtle prompting and follow them with exactness. It may not make sense. You may find yourself rationalizing or justifying why you can’t follow these subtle promptings of the spirit. However, this I have also learned, the more I follow, the clearer the direction I receive. And when I don’t follow or drag my feet in following, it is like turning down the volume for further guidance.

I view it like this, we have problems, all of us, no exceptions. I believe that it is through our challenges and problems that God gets our attention and in essence invites us to be humble and come to Him. For me, it seems my prayers are a little more intense during difficult times rather than when things are going pretty good. With that in mind, if we could view hardships as invitations to come to God, draw on His Spirit for guidance and inspiration, then we can be lead to greater peace and happiness. I do not believe that all of our problems will be resolved as neatly as a one hour TV show. But I do believe we will be better off and will find answers and solutions that may have eluded us.

Whatever your course of action, you must feel good about it. Sometimes, answers to your biggest and most pressing questions will not be forthcoming. Your willingness and obedience may first need to be tried and tested (by God). I will often ask “What should I do?” If I leave the question wide open, then I can follow and not have to exert specific demands for specific questions. I have even found that as I follow the mundane direction, insights and inspiration will come to me (that I believe may not have come otherwise). Here is something else I’ve discovered and many others have concurred with this. I’ve learned that when I receive an answer to a prayer or impression, the answer is the first thing that flashes in my mind. Whether it’s a name or an image of something. The first impression seems to be pure and true before its diluted by my  reasoning or polluted by the adversary. This has been proven many times in my life.

The direction to follow inspiration is simple, but it is not easy. I strongly believe that this is the path that will lead us to greater health and happiness. And I believe that the illnesses and injuries that afflict us just may be the pathway to greater light, peace, love and understanding. It is said that Christ learned by the things which he suffered, and so it is with us. But only if we learn to listen and obey.

Blessings,

Dr. Kyle Christensen

The Examined Life - An exercise in emotional healing

The Examined Life

Kyle Christensen, DC – April 2013

Socrates' boldly stated "The unexamined life is not worth living." He doesn't mince words. He doesn't say that the unexamined life is "less meaningful than it could be".  He simply and clearly says it's not even worth living. Our lives truly are to be ones of spiritual growth and development, yet too many of us are so caught up and overwhelmed with the busyness of each day that rarely do we spend serious time in thought and introspection.  As a result, we can lead lives of RE-ACTION, rather than ACTION.

In my practice, my patients work with releasing trapped emotions.  There are several methods taught today on how to release these trapped or repressed emotions.  We all experience emotions for which we may not have the tools, support or experience to adequately deal with.  As a result, the subconscious mind, in an effort to protect us, will stuff these emotions down.  We have learned that “feelings buried alive, never die” but can later manifest as physical, emotional or spiritual symptoms.

I have been troubled a bit by so many of the natural therapies that are designed to relieve or remove spiritual or emotional issues with the wave of a wand (or magnet).  And while I have seen miraculous results with some of these, there are many for whom these treatments are only marginally effective or ineffective all together.

Recall the story in the New Testament in Matthew chapter 17.  Christ is up on the Mount of Transfiguration with Peter, James and John.  Returning they discover the remaining apostles who have unsuccessfully tried to heal a young man possessed.  Christ heals the young man.  Later, the disciples inquire of the Lord, “Why could not we cast him out?”  He tells them it is because of their unbelief and goes on to say “this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”

I believe that there are many of us who may require more to heal than sometimes the more simple approaches.  In dealing with emotional scars and wounds, it may not be sufficient that the well-intentioned practitioner run through the prescribed course of treatment and expect complete healing.  How many of us have “the kind of spiritual or emotional wound that goeth not out but by prayer and fasting”.

In my searching for what I call Christ-Centered Healing, I have come upon a procedure that I believe can help and guide us through the healing process.  It requires some effort, but can result in a deep and lasting healing of deep wounds that have long been resistant. This also is in line with Socrates’ statement of the unexamined life.  Sometimes we need to face our demons and by so doing we can discover that our hardships, trials and adversity can also be our teacher and our personal refiners fire.  By examining our life, including abuses and tragedy in the extreme, we may be able to find meaning, purpose, strength and the power to overcome.

When we talk of Christ-Centered Healing, we enter into the realm of the Atonement, Repentance and Forgiveness.  Healing through the Savior is much more than lip service and professing believe.  The power of healing through Christ is transformational.  It is that of becoming a new person, who has truly partnered with Christ (becoming yoked together with Christ – Matthew 11:28-30).  It is being Born Again, experiencing that Mighty Change and becoming a child of Christ.

Orson F. Whitney

Orson F. Whitney said

“No pain that we suffer, no trial that we experience is wasted. It ministers to our education, to the development of such qualities as patience, faith, fortitude and humility. All that we suffer and all that we endure, especially when we endure it patiently, builds up our characters, purifies our hearts, expands our souls, and makes us more tender and charitable, more worthy to be called the children of God . . . and it is through sorrow and suffering, toil and tribulation, that we gain the education that we come here to acquire and which will make us more like our Father and Mother in heaven.”

I have added to my blog an exercise that you can work through that has helped many gain a clearer perspective of their trials.  As we gain an understanding of our life's purpose, we can realize that just as Christ endured unfathomable trials, so too must we experience injustice, abuse, sorrow and pain.  We cannot imagine Jesus reflecting back on his life complaining of the difficulties and unfairness of his experiences.  Rather, He views His life experience as perfect and exactly what was needed.  So too, your life's experiences are exactly what is needed for your eternal growth and development.

The process I invite you to go through will take some time.  It is important that you begin with a prayerful heart that God may reveal to you the words that you should write.  Your objective is listen to the Spirit and truly strive to “come clean” and “get it all out” – the hurt, the suffering, your part in it and the resultant blessings that may have been disguised in your experiences.

Letting Go (Forgiveness) and

Obtaining a Divine Perspective of your Life’s Journey

TRANSFORMATIONAL HEALING EXERCISE

Adapted and based on the work of Samantha Hudson, M.A.

3-PART LETTERS
IMPORTANT:
Write all 3 parts for each person in one sitting before reading it aloud to your therapist or trusted partners! Do NOT write the first part & walk away.  You will get stuck in the victim realm of experience again.

PREPARATION:  PRIOR TO WRITING

Letting go of your past is the most essential step in the healing process.  It is quite expensive, as far as the energy it consumes in your life, to have emotional attachments to the past.  By releasing the past, you make available much more energy for creating joy in the present moment of now and the future “nows” to come.  This is why all religions teach forgiveness of the past, and to love and forgive your enemies.  Also, when you cancel the past, meaning that you understand why you attracted the particular experience and don’t play the victim/aggressor game, you no longer focus any present thoughts on the past so as not to re-create the same or similar experiences in the future because you have heeded your lessons and gleaned the blessings that have been disguised as a result of your experiences.

This process is powerful because it helps you to detect how a destructive belief or behavior pattern, which can be compared to running a damaging computer virus, has operated in your family’s lineage causing feelings of unworthiness through a cycle of victims and perpetrators often through generations of family members.  A passed down, defunct viral/behavioral program eventually portrays itself as genetic or inherited behavioral, relationship, emotional or physical issues, ailments, diseases or pain.  Mapping or charting out these issues in your family will help you better inform yourself to call this demon by name, so to speak, so that you can disarm this viral/behavioral program (it really can act like an infectious contagious illness) and its destructive effects.  Revealing or uncovering the family’s skeletons in the closet and studying these in order to identify the associated patterns is much easier to do when you are able to examine at least three generations.   Of course, not all traumatic events in life come through family relationships, but many do.  So we focus on that.  Understand that this process can and should be used for all behavioral, relationship, emotional or physical issues, ailments, diseases or painful issues.

The letter writing process that you will go through is designed to energetically dispel or diffuse any emotions that you have not allowed yourself to express or release for one reason or another.  When you complete each of your letters, you will find that miraculous physical, emotional, situational and relationship healing can take place in your life.  These letters are meant for your individual healing and do not have to be sent or given to the people involved unless you feel it would be advantageous to do so.  If indeed this is something that you feel called to do, be sure to read it aloud to them as opposed to simply just giving it to them. Be sure to include a copy of this letter writing process with them prior to your sharing, so that they understand your intention of the engagement as healing and not blaming. Healing will occur on both behalves with or without physically sharing the information or the letters.  Please do not be dissuaded from writing these out for the mere fact that you can’t even fathom sharing this information with the subject individual.  I repeat, that you do not have to share this with them.  This is for YOUR healing.  Do it for YOU.

The first step prior to beginning this letter writing process is to take the time and focus on what and who you are still hanging on to.  Sit quietly with yourself with the intent to bring to your conscious mind any situations or people that you harbor resentment or guilt feelings for.  On a piece of paper, make a list of anyone that springs to mind.  Do not resist writing someone down because you think it is too minor. If you are having a difficult time, first make a list of any resentments or regrets and then note the people associated with these situations.   Now, prioritize this list of people.  Take the first person on your list that you have the most unresolved feelings for and move on to the next step.

For many it is best to begin with one 3-part letter to either mom or dad ( or your main caregiver) as this illuminates many of the behavior patterns that are repeated later with romantic partners, grown children or ex-spouses when you do finally address these individuals too.  Often we go into relationships that mirror or attract to us the unhealthy relationship we may have had with a parent.  This can be a necessary experience in the healing of dysfunctional behavior patterns that have been passed down from many generations.  Often I see those who have become saviors to future generations as they break the cycle of unhealthy parent-child patterns.

After you have completed the entire process with the one parent, wait about a week or two and then address the other parent.  You don't realize how much of your life is hinged upon these emotional attachments until the emotional shifts begin to occur following each letter to caregivers. These particular letters spawn many changes in your life and environment for the better. Even though the internal and emotional changes are for the best, can be difficult readjusting our life as we may still be attached to the old people, routines & structures that have caused us distress.  So, please do not complete both parents within the same week as this can stimulate too much change too quickly for you.  Letting go of these, even if it brings welcomed relief, can still be a bit destabilizing or disconcerting for a while.  However, it is essential to let go of these familiar people, habits, situations and circumstances, so that "the highest in us" can honor your new perceptions of the world by restructuring your new perspective of the world with gifts of new, more joyful & abundant experiences.  (After your caregivers are completed, any other letters that you feel you must complete, can do so as close together as you choose as these will be more minor clean up issues.)

(Note:  It is important to write all parental types in your life, even if the were completely absent from your life (birth parents if adopted, orphaned or abandoned), as this will explain a lot about attachment & relational issues that come later.  This abandonment pain must be addressed, expressed & transformed.  If they are no longer living today, it is still greatly important to write these and share them.)

PART 1:  PLAYING THE VICTIM & RESTORING POWER

Begin this letter with a pray that you may be able to think clearly and express the pain and issues that are your true feelings.  Call upon the Lord to assist you in unleashing pent up and hurtful emotions.

A: Expressing Your Emotions as the Victim

B: Restate Your Worthiness that was lost as a result!

Write in first person like you are speaking to this person right in front of you. Say everything that was left unsaid and restate what (power) it is that you sense you lost at the time.  Express all of the pain, anger or grief you felt in the past and also presently.

IMPORTANT:  It is usually helpful to take a walk prior to writing as this opens up your insight (connection to God and tune in to that highest perspective) and can offer insights by gaining a new perspective with which to see this situation or relationship.

EXAMPLE: If you lost your voice, then you would restate;

A: "I am angry and hurt that you did not listen to my pleas for help or my desires of what I wanted to do with my life.  For years I have lived with feelings of insecurity and for this I am sad, angry, depressed and ashamed.  You should have allowed me to speak my mind.  You were wrong for not teaching me that I am important and that I am worthy of speaking.

B: Today, I am choosing to see myself as important & do know that my voice is worth hearing. From now on, I will invoke it with love, tactfulness and mutual respect when I have something to express or share.  I will honor myself, despite the fact that you did not.  You no longer hold my power.  I am reclaiming it."

PART 2:   TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR BEING A PERPETRATOR TOO

Because you were acted upon, human experience has shown that we also act out based on the forces and pressures we experience.  As a result of our experiences, we too can and may have acted inappropriately or less that we should have.  In this part of the exercise, do not attempt to justify any feelings, behaviors or attitudes.  Plead for divine guidance to direct your thoughts and words.  Each of us fall short, sin and need the blessings of repentance.  This part is not for you to accept blame for abuse or harm that came upon you, rather it is an open and full acknowledgement for your shortcomings and behaviors.  Do not take the opinion or attitude of “Well, I guess I deserved the abuse or the misbehavior acted upon me was somehow justified”.  We are shedding the victim persona. This step acknowledges our sins, misdeeds and imperfections as it relates to any person, but also in our life in general.  Understand that we are in the process of transforming into the person God intends us to become.  As we humbly accept responsibility for every aspect of our lives, we can be comforted and healed.

A:  Recognizing & Taking Responsibility for Perpetrating Similar Behaviors to others in the past and currently.

B:  Restoring Power to Your Victims through Resolve

C:  Understanding the Compassionate “Being in their Shoes” Perspective: Relieving the Personal Attack Component from any Party Involved. (Forgive them for they Know Not what they Do; Separating the Behavior (Viral Program-Sin) from the Individual.

D:  Discerning and Transforming any Associated Destructive Beliefs

When we feel victimized, it stimulates us to judge our perceived perpetrator. Judging actually generates urges within you to act out the very same behaviors as the person(s) you judged.  You either acted these urges out and became the perpetrator of the very same act to another, or you have denied these urges as they have arisen, thinking that you won't pass it along.  The disturbing fact here is, if you deny urges that arise, they actually are suppressed and become trapped emotions that will eventually begin to effect the physical or chemical aspects of your body, creating emotional issues, physical disease (cancer) or injury (pain).  Meaning that you actually gave the viral/behavioral program (the effects of the harmful experiences) to yourself instead, and in so doing, you perpetrated the negativity to yourself, making you both the perpetrator and the victim; which still puts you in the shoes of your perpetrator of Part 1 so that you may now be able to understand the non-intention of your loved one harming you, but understand their ignorance; just as you repeated this pattern upon your subconscious self in ignorance too. (“Forgive them, for they know not what they do.” -Jesus)

A: The topic that you are addressing here is along the lines of:  Where have you repeated the same pattern? Without any doubt, you have given this viral/behavioral program to others or quite possibly, yourself.  You must discover how & where in order to fully understand the nature of this viral/behavioral program & how it spreads to become the antidote.  This is where you must become an objective investigator researching the nature of this viral or behavioral program and how it worked it’s way through you to others.  (Be aware that viral/behavioral programs often skip a generation by flipping opposite judgments & resultant behaviors.  For instance, a prude mother will parent a daughter who will be promiscuous who will become an overly open mother who will generate a prude daughter.  Another example is that a strict parent usually produces an overly permissive parent creating the very same hardships for the offspring.  These are harder to detect, but you must notice them.)

B: Once you discover from whom you have taken power (who you have offended because your behavior has reflected the behavior imposed on you), it is important that you take responsibility for your part and give this power back.  Seek resolve by reaching out to each victim. Restore the worthiness/self-esteem that you ignorantly took from them and set the record straight (turning the tables over in the temple to remove the imbalances caused by karma or the ledger).  We seek and ask forgiveness.  In the Lord’s Prayer, in essence we are asking to be forgiven to the degree that we forgive.  Or put in another way, “Lord forgive me, only to the extent that I forgive others”.

C. Realizing that you have been both a perpetrator and a victim makes it easy for you to find compassion for those that you have resented/been hurt by in the past by putting yourself in the very shoes of the person you felt/feel resentment for when you were younger.  This is now an opportunity to "understand" your enemy (love your enemy) to learn that the person you are writing to most likely didn't mean to affect you like they did.   You will learn that they did not take your power (self-esteem and emotional well-being) on purpose or because you aren't worthy of love, attention, etc.  They were acting out the same viral or behavioral program that was imposed on them.  (Forgive them, for they know not what they do –said Jesus Christ).  Just as you are realizing that you didn't want to send that same message to the person(s) you have perpetrated the same act toward

D: In addition, TAKING RESPONSIBILITY allows us to identify any false or destructive agreements/beliefs that need to be weeded from your garden as well.  You must shift these beliefs or they will continue to attract the same destructive circumstances or events via the laws of manifestation and attraction that you would like to dispel or get rid of even though you completed this process. Remember that true repentance is a change of heart.  It is not simply forcing behavior.  When the heart is changed, changes in behavior can more easily occur.  The true message and power of the Atonement of Christ is one of Transformation, not just acceptance or belief.

EXAMPLE:  If you took someone else's voice, then you would restate to them;

A: “I realize that I have passed on a destructive pattern to you.

B: Your voice is worth hearing and I apologize for not allowing you to have one.  From now on I will allow you to share or express your feelings to me in a respectful manner, and I will listen with love, understanding and mutual respect.

C: I apologize for doing the same thing to you that my parents did to me. I realize now that my parents were just repeating what their parents had taught them and that they didn’t purposely teach me that I am not worthy to express myself. I forgive them because I really do understand how we ignorantly pass these along.

D: I realize now that my parent’s belief became my belief by default.  I no longer believe that “You are to respect your elders and not ask questions when you are given direction" is not one I choose to have anymore.”

PART 3:  MAKING THIS EXPERIENCE PERFECT TODAY

Here is the key, the blessing and the true purpose of all of the hardships and trials we are call upon to suffer in this life.  Please understand that each of our lives, no matter how difficult have meaning and purpose.  And though we suffer injustices and abuse, Christ also suffered.  Our lives were not meant to be easy.  Finding meaning and growth through the things we suffer is how we can become sanctified and purified before God.  Even as the refiners fire.

See the Blessings in Disguise:
No regrets and no grudges!  Going through the duality experience of perpetrator/victim brings you back into balance, but it will not stabilize in this balanced position unless you affix the perfection of this experience to the memory.

You will discover that going without or feeling abandoned or neglected builds strengths, passions, gifts, aptitudes & relationships that would not exist presently, without all of the strife or suffering from before.  In other words, all of the darkness that you have illuminated and shined light upon in this healing process actually holds the keys to your Divine Life Purpose, and if acted upon, culminates into the very passions, directions, skills and strengths that you will joyfully utilize when operating at optimum (following God’s will) capacity that will attract to you more blessings and joy than you could have ever imagined before when you were stuck in your unworthy, disconnected state of mind.  Be sure to thank your loved one that played the perfect perpetrator for you to develop all of the hidden blessings that were reaped from your lack in that relationship.  Also, thank your Heavenly Father for loving you enough to provide difficult life experiences that, for you, were perfect in that it has guided you to become who God intends for you to be.  Without your unique experiences and trials, you could not become a son or daughter of Christ.

This is the part that makes it different from what you get in traditional therapy.  You must change your story.  No longer do you tell the same stories over and over seeking sympathy, that’s the victim’s way that only attracts more situations and circumstances to feel victimized.  You now understand the purpose in suffering and will no longer participate in pity parties.  This is where you understand the “bigger picture”!  A good way to begin this part is to use phrasing similar to the following:  “I am so grateful for this experience because today…“ or  “This experience was exactly perfect because I learned…”

EXAMPLE: If you had an abusive father who battered you with defeating comments and was neglectful of your feelings and non-consoling, you would begin by thanking him.
Write something similar to this:
“Thank you, dad, for playing the perfect character in my life to teach me that I must love myself and build myself up, and that no one would do it for me.  Thank you for teaching me self-reliance and how to forgive.  Thank you for being all the things that I don’t want to be, so that I could easily recognize what I do want to be.  I know that this experience was exactly perfect because I am now in a position to empathize and help others who are going through similar circumstances and I can be the example of how these experiences can serve them as they have me today.

In addition, I have gained amazing skills during the course of our relationship.  I became very intuitive because I was in a constant state of alertness and awareness in order to survive your perpetual beat-downs, which are now skills I regularly utilize as my work to thrive.  In fact, I realize that I would go through this again in order to gain these, as this gift is what I most like about myself today as I serve God, others and myself with it.  This brings me great joy and would not exist if we actually got along!   Thank you, God, for giving me this perfectly strained unharmonious relationship that made me search for comfort in YOU.  All of these experiences have led me to this very moment, where I am becoming enlightened and for that, I am eternally grateful.”

COMPLETION:  YOU ARE NOT DONE YET!

This is the most important part.  If you skip this step, you did not balance the two hemispheres of your brain by listening to your own words from all three perspectives.  Now that you have completed all three parts, share this ALOUD with trusted individuals that support your healing journey.  A therapist can help you glean anything that you may have missed, so that you do not have to repeat the process.  If you are short on friends and family, then seek a counselor who is knowledgeable in spiritual matters.  Share it several times.  Keep sharing it until you feel that all of the strong negative emotions attached to the person or situation are no longer there.  It will eventually need to feel as if it is old news and no longer important to share.  Once your work is complete, destroy the letter and rejoice for you are healing on many levels.  You may want to burn your letter, symbolically allowing the smoke rise us to heaven.  You can definitely expect changes in your physical, relational, spiritual, financial, familial, situational, mental and emotional health.  This is healing that comes through the power and atonement of Jesus Christ. These are truly glorious moments when all of the "old" garbage just simply ceases.

Repeat this method with as many of the individuals on your list as necessary.  You will find that after you complete a few letters that you will only need to mentally fulfill the exercise with the remaining people on your list.  If you are really hard on yourself, be sure to include a letter to you as well.   Sometimes you may need to revisit this process if more information is revealed to you later, but now you have it down, so that should not be a problem.

Congratulations on your courage to face your demons or better said, viral patterns or destructive behavioral patterns (past).  Pat yourself on your back for a job well done and share your healing with anyone and everyone.  Now, you are off to discover your purpose as you serve and bless the lives of others.  You are now better equipped and prepared to live joyfully in the present moment.

 A Call for Grandma’s and Grandpa’s

What we really need, and I’m being serious here, is grandma’s, (and grandpa’s).  Hear me out on this.  In years gone by, when someone was sick, injured or had contracted a disease, professionally trained doctors were not always available.  As a result, people had to take it upon themselves for the vast majority of health related problems.  This care typically fell into the hands of those who were the most compassionate, patient, experienced and no nonsense individuals.  Who could that be?  You guessed it – Grandma! With a lifetime of experience, grandma (not all grandma’s but many) always seemed to have a remedy for just about everything.

As years and technology pressed itself upon us, established authority, using tactics of fear and intimidation, began to undermine the confidence of many of the tried and true remedies of the past.  Most of our mothers were conditioned to take their kids to the doctor for a myriad of conditions that in times past were simply treated at home.  As a result, the health of our nation is in poor shape.  Those who are in positions of authority are driven by deep pockets urging, even demanding, the prescribed course of treatment, which is usually a drug.  While there are many in the medical field that are sincere in their intent to truly do what is best for the patient, the system truly is broken.

I have seen some significant positive changes in the nearly 30 years I have been in practice as a chiropractic physician, but the greed/profit motives behind so many powerful organizations (medical, insurance, pharmaceutical, government and food processing companies) are corrupt and I am afraid beyond reform.

So this is where you come in.  If you’re a grandma (or a grandpa), GREAT!  If you are not, but you love a grandma, then you also qualify.  We need to learn as much as we can to take care of those we love.  We are not inviting you or even encouraging you to get involved in HEROIC Medicine.  When a life is at risk or teetering on the brink, heroic medicine is truly in order.  Get them to the emergency room for the lifesaving care that they may need.  What you want to be is an UN-HERO.  Someone who takes care of minor problems.  Those aches and pains, those minor injuries – the bumps and bruises.  The fleeting digestive pain.  The fatigue, the blues and ‘I just don’t feel good’ syndromes.  By taking care of the uneventful and mundane, little problems can be turned around before they become big problems and a crisis that needs a siren and catastrophic insurance reimbursement.

We need Grandma’s (and grandpa’s).  We need your love, your wisdom and your no nonsense approach to life.  You’re life has not been an easy one. You’ve been there, done that and truly learned from the school of hard knocks.  We need to you learn natural home remedies.  We need you to learn to put your compassion and heart into your healing hands.  And then, we need you to teach your children and grandchildren, so they can become the grandmas of the next generation.  The world is not going to get better without you.  If you feel at all called to this work, please take it seriously.  I am convinced that the world cannot be saved without grandma.

What is Cold Laser Therapy?

Cold laser therapy is a relatively new technology (about 30 years old) when compared to many alternative therapies like acupuncture (which has been used since 8000-3500 B.C.), chiropractic (since 1895) and physical therapy. Just like the abacus evolved into the computer, many alternative medicine practices are evolving to include light therapy. Recent innovations in low-level lasers now make it possible for the average physician or consumer to own cold laser equipment. Cold lasers are sometimes called Low Level Lasers (LLL) or soft lasers.

In general, cold lasers can be used in 2 distinct ways:
  • Targeting acupuncture trigger points (similar to acupuncture but without the needles)
  • Broad coverage of deep tissue with laser photons to stimulate changes in the tissue

Cold Laser therapy offers a non-intrusive option to acupuncture and surgery. It also provides a non-addicting treatment that eliminates the complications of long-term drug treatment programs. Cold laser are widely use for treatment of:
  • Acute and chronic pain
  • Ligament sprains
  • Muscle strain
  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Tendonitis
  • Arthritis
  • Tennis elbow
  • Back pain
  • Bursitis
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Warts
  • “Suspicious” moles
  • Acne or skin problems
  • Wound healing

Healing With Cold Lasers

The cold laser produces an impulse of light at a specific wavelength that minimizes reflection and scattering but maximized absorption of the energy (in photons) at a desire depth.
The goal of laser therapy is to deliver light energy units from infrared laser radiation, called photons, to damaged cells. It is the consensus of experts is that photons absorbed by the cells through laser therapy stimulate the mitochondria to accelerate production of ATP. This biochemical increase in cell energy is used to transform live cells from a state of illness to a stable, healthy state.
Over 4000 studies have been conducted in recent years to validate the effectiveness of cold laser therapy. Cold lasers treatment systems may be cleared by the FDA.

Benefit of Cold Lasers

  • Easy to apply
  • Extremely safe
  • Non-Toxic
  • Non-Invasive
  • No side effects or pain
  • Cost effective for both the practitioner and patient
  • Highly effective in treating ailments (more than 90% efficacy)
  • Superior alternative to analgesics, NSAID's and other medications
  • Reduces the need for surgery
  • Works synergistically with other modalities like Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Physical Therapy

General Therapeutic Laser Biological Effects

  1. Increased Cell Growth: Laser photons accelerates cellular reproduction and growth.
  2. Increased Metabolic Activity: Photons initiate a higher outputs of specific enzymes, greater oxygen and food particle loads for blood cells and thus greater production of the basic food source for cells, Adenosine Tri-Phosphate (ATP).
  3. Faster Wound Healing: Cold laser photons stimulates fibroblast development and accelerates collagen synthesis in damaged tissue
  4. Anti-Inflammatory Action: Laser photons reduce swelling caused by bruising or inflammation of joints resulting in enhanced joint mobility.
  5. Increased Vascular Activity: Laser photons induce temporary vasodilation that increases blood flow to effected areas.
  6. Reduced Fibrous Tissue Formation: Laser photons reduce the formation of scar tissue following tissue damage from: cuts, scratches, burns or post surgery.
  7. Stimulated Nerve Function: Laser photon exposure speeds the process of nerve cell reconnect ion to bring the numb areas back to life.
  8. Pain Reduction: Almost all systems have a mode of operation specifically designed to reduce pain.

Allergy Elimination

Like A Computer Virus

Allergies can be compared to a computer virus.  If you retrieve an email that is carrying a computer virus, that virus (a computer programs designed to cause problems) may lie dormant on your hard drive until something activates it.  It may be the change of the date or accessing a certain file or program.

When the computer virus is activated, it can cause all kinds of problems.  To remedy this situation, you may need help from someone who is able to delete or remove that virus from your computer.  Once the virus is gone, when the date changes, or you access the program again, you will no longer have a problem or reaction, because the computer virus has been deleted and is gone.  Like a computer virus, an allergy is a faulty program that gets written into your immune system.  It will lie dormant until you are exposed to the triggering mechanism (pollen, corn, chocolate, etc.).  Once exposed, your immune system sounds the alarm and you have a hyper-immune response.  Allergies are nothing more than the immune system over-reacting.

Of course, as we all know an over-reaction of the immune system can be life-ending.  If the immune system reacts rapidly and violently to an allergen, it is called anaphylaxis.  I am well acquainted with the deadly consequences of allergies, as it was the cause of my fathers’ premature death.  Allergies can range from a trifling annoyance to life altering disabilities.

Going back to our computer analogy, there are two types of allergies, as I have learned to understand them.  The first I would call hardwired allergies.  Hardwired allergies a person is often born with that can cause the severe anaphylactic response.  Typical allergens that are hardwired in people can be things like peanuts, shrimp and bee stings.  The other type of allergies is acquired allergies, which I have compared to software computer viruses.  These are the allergies that are associated with hay fever, seasonal allergies, and most food allergies causing digestive upset or eczema.

If the body is able to create a faulty response (an allergy) to a normal substance, it makes sense that the body can un-create that abnormal response.  Many people who have suffered from allergies “out-grow” them.

This is because their body changes as they mature or their immune system gets healthier and reprograms itself.  I have discovered along with many others an amazing Allergy Elimination Treatment which can help the body change this faulty programming much quicker. This amazing treatment will be discussed later in this report.

Having Studied and practiced 3 separate allergy elimination techniques (NAET, BioSET, and Precision Meridian Therapy), I have been able to combine the best elements of each into a treatment method that is easy to learn and far more effective than each technique done individually.  I invite you to learn this powerful technique so that you can benefit and bless the lives of those within your circle of influence.

Emotions, Energy & Angels

When we experience events in our life and do not have the support, experience or tools to adequately deal with often the subconscious will suppress or trapped an emotion.  Culturally, we are often encouraged to hold in or not show emotions such as grief, fear or anxiety. Emotions or feelings that are stuffed down and repressed don’t go away but will often manifest as physical, mental or emotional symptoms.  Ever feel how tight someone is across the shoulders.  Often the response is “Oh, that’s just where I hold my stress”.  That is my point exactly.  Holding on to stress, or any other emotion will affect your health and well being.

Fortunately, there are some very effective ways to release these trapped emotions so that the body no longer feels it is necessary to hold them in.  The beauty of this treatment process is that we do not need to discuss the trauma, incidents or trauma that resulted in the trapped emotions.   In essence, we give the body the message or signal that we no longer want to hold on to any trapped emotion, grudge or negative feeling.  Through activating or stimulating acupuncture points, the body can begin to release those latent emotions.  Most often what is felt after a treatment is very subtle or not at all.  People report feeling lighter or freer than before. Often feeling light a weight has been lifted.  Occasionally, I will get a report that “I went home and cried for three hours, or I had the giggles all night.  I had one woman return the follow week asking “ What the heck did you do to me?!, I went home and was a little tired so I decided to lay down on my bed.  I woke up 23 HOURS later!!!  I hadn’t even moved on the bed.  It took me a while to discover I had lost a whole day!”  The same week another person declared, “Whatever you did to me gave me so much energy, I was cleaning the house until 3 in the morning!”.  I tell people to not expect anything, but should you experience something, just take a step back emotionally and say to yourself, “Hmmm, isn’t that interesting.”

We have learned that we are all energetic and electro-magnetic in nature, meaning that our chemistry and physiology and nervous system operates through positive and negative electric and magnetic charges.  As a result, we can be influenced from a healing perspective through the use of magnets, through rubbing or stimulating acupuncture points and through a variety of other types of therapies that are not intrusive or invasive to the well being of our bodies.  During this workshop, we discuss, demonstrate and learn how to influence our bodies to heal safely and effectively.

Many years ago, I was working on a patient using a technique called CranioSacral Therapy.  I had my hands on her head and after a short time she began speaking to me in a deeper guttural voice with an English accent.  Weird, I know.  She said “We are the boys” “We don’t want you working on Susan (not her real name) anymore.”  Well the hair on the back of my neck stood straight up!! I was totally creeped out, but decided to figure out what was going on.  I asked ‘the boys’ to let me talk to Susan.  “Susan”, I said, “It seems like something is going on here.  Like there are other spirits or personalities inside of you.”  She acknowledged that this was true.  I told her that we could work together to get them to leave.  Her reaction was direct and straight to the point. “If you make them leave, then I will be alone.”  With that she got up and left.  I never saw her again.

I have come to learn that we are not alone on this world.  There are powers and forces for both good and ill. And while there are negative and evil influences in our lives, it is important that we focus and move toward that which is positive and good.  In this workshop, we review how to get rid of or cast out negative or bad spirits or influences.  We also discuss angels.  What they are and how to work with them, not in a New Age sense, but as a follower or disciple of Christ.

Herbal First Aid and Health Care:

Medicine for a New Millennium

I wrote and had this book published in 2000.  My feeling was to provide an manual that could be used, just in case emergency medical help was not available.  While true emergencies may require trained professionals, this book is a guide that can be used to help a myriad of problems using herbs or natural therapies.

In our workshop, we learn how to make and the difference between an herbal infusion and a decoction.  We learn to make tinctures and ointments – there are a few secrets that make it much easier.  You will learn to make a poultice and a fomentation along with how and why you may use them.

Once you have walked through making some of these herbal preparations, it is not nearly as intimidating.  One of the keys to a healthy life and taking care of others is to focus on problems when they are minor and easier to work with.  Of course, injuries or acute illnesses must also be dealt with and herbal medicine and natural health care has much to offer.

We invite you to begin using Herbal First Aid and Health Care as you care for those you love into this new millennium.

Healing in the Kitchen

Truly, the kitchen is the key to health and vitality.  Health never was and never will be found in a supplement.  True health, real health can only be obtained the way our bodies were designed to enjoy it.  And that is with nutritious wholesome foods.

In this workshop, we will discuss, demonstrate and taste foods prepared in a healthy way that may be a little different that what you were taught.  We learn the importance of soaking grains – such as in making sourdough.  You will learn how to incorporate fermented or naturally cultured foods into your meals.  Creative applications of bone broth for rebuilding the digestive tract will be discussed.  All of this and much more will be centered around menus and recipes that are absolutely delicious.

The key to health really is delicious foods like our great grandmothers made.  The food in a healthy diet is hearty, filling and nutritious.  We will share with you what, how and why we do things as we do.  It is not necessary to spend long hours in the kitchen.  Let us teach you how to work smarter, not harder and longer.

With this class, we will share with you many of our favorite recipes.
Stroganoff
Stew
Soups (egg drop, fresh ginger chicken noodle, miso, vegetable)
Enchiladas
Tamales
Chili Rellenos
Quiche – with four varieties of crusts
Sourdough (bread, pancakes, waffles, pita, foccacia, biscuits, tortillas)
Shepherds Pie
Fermented Vegetables
Eggs (easy and amazingly prepared)
Hummus
Baba Ganoush
Condiments (ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard, mayonaisse, chili sauce, salsa, sweet & sour sauce)
Rice pilaf
Mexican Rice
Bone broth soups
Cooking with stored foods

Most important, you will learn concepts and understand why and how to adapt your favorite recipes making them super healthy without compromising the great taste.  Seriously, the key is not recipes, but understanding why and how you make things.  We will demonstrate recipes that will teach the underlying principles of healthy cooking.

Conclusion:

From our family to yours, we hope that you will have the desire to grasp the concept of Healing @ Home.  Whether you study with us or follow your own inspiration, it is our prayer that we all strive to do everything within our power to bless the lives of those within the circle of our influence and love.
