The Spiritual Path of Deep Healing

The Spiritual Path of
Deep Healing

An integral part of the healing process is spiritual. However, in our medical/healthcare culture, the discussion of God and Spirit is considered taboo. While many health practitioners ranging from hospital workers to psychological counselors believe and practice in their personal lives a belief in God and a spiritual understanding of how life works, they have been taught or regulated that things such as prayer and matters of the spirit are not permitted to be incorporated into healthcare or medical practice. An exception is tolerated if you use sufficiently vague terms such as “A Higher Power” and talk of meditation rather than prayer. Even if the patient shares the same religious beliefs or faith, we are told to speak in vague spiritual generalities. Providers who talk openly or even in hushed tones to their patients or clients about spiritual matters are considered rogue.
But the truth is, as I see it, (and please be advised that what I share here are my beliefs and understanding), true and deep healing of the body and the mind cannot be fully achieved without engaging the deep spiritual recesses of our being.

Let me share a couple examples of what deep healing under the hands of Jesus can be. I believe that Jesus Christ is The Master Healer during both his mortal ministry as well as today. The following biblical accounts have both backstories as well as “the rest of the story” which I use to illustrate the deeper healing many of us seek.
You are familiar with the story of the Woman at the Well in the Bible. Jesus approached a Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well and asked for a drink of water. During the course of their conversation, he revealed details of her life no one could have known and then testifies that he is indeed the Promised Messiah. She believes him. What happened next? According to early Christian sources, here’s the rest of the story. Jesus and his disciples spent several days in this Samaritan village resulting in the conversion and baptism of the majority of its residents. The woman at the well being the foremost convert. As was the custom of the day, new converts would take on a new name. The name she chose was Photini, which means enlightened one. She along with her five sisters and two sons became energetic evangelists in the early Christian church traveling throughout the region spreading the Good News of the Gospel. These bold and fearless disciples eventually traveled and preached in the crazed roman ruler Nero’s court. As a result of their ministry, Nero’s daughter and 100 slave girls joined the Christian cause. The brilliant light of Photini could not be shaken or dimmed. She was considered in her evangelical work to be on par with the apostles. Ultimately Photini, her sisters and sons, were said to feel “honored” to suffer martyrdom for Christ under the wicked hand of Nero.

Remember the story of the man who was born blind that was healed by Jesus on the sabbath? This created great controversy in the Pharisee's religious community. This now sighted man was brought to testify in the Jewish court as were his parents. We know he was of age. Which means he was perhaps in his 30’s. My question has been this. After all of the excitement settled down, what happened to this man. For many years he sat as the blind beggar. He was the lowest of the low from a socio-economic standpoint. Uneducated, probably poorly groomed and dressed in rags. His world was dark - visually, emotionally and probably spiritually. And then he was healed.

The New Testament was written in Greek. There are several Greek words that are translated into the English word “healed”. There appears to be several levels or categories of healing in the New Testament. The highest level of healing is represented by the word SOZO (pronounced: Sode-zo). Sozo means healed, saved AND delivered. Not everyone Jesus healed received this highest level of healing.
For example, the 10 lepers who were healed received a physical healing only. However, the one leper who returned to thank Jesus was then offered the greater healing as indicated by the use of the word Sozo – healed, saved and delivered. As stated in the gospel of Luke: One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan!
Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well (Sozo)" Luke 17:15-19.

Back to the blind beggar: The blind beggars’ healing was also of this higher level of healing (Sozo). Without a trade or marketable skills what became of him. As a result of his earlier life, he was essentially unemployed. But his healing by the touch of the master's hand was not merely physical. He was not only healed by Jesus but his spirit was transformed and unleashed. He was a man whose soul was ignited. He could not be silenced. He is identified in the early Christian writings by the name Celidonius. Eventually he and several others sailed to France where Celidonius founded a church of Jesus Christ.

My intent in sharing these stories is not the physical healing or the miracles which occured, but rather the complete change of heart, change of perspective and transformation of each of these souls. And herein lies the true secret to health. True health and lasting healing is difficult to achieve by following a list of do’s and don'ts. White knuckled determination and discipline rarely produce the results we seek. But when our heart is changed, when we can finally break free from the emotional constraints that bind our heart and soul and darken our perception, our life truly changes.

So the big question must be: “How can someone experience this kind of change?” How can our lives be so transformed that we truly become new. It is said that the fast track to transformative change involves humiliation and suffering. I believe that God allows our bodies to fall apart to teach us how to listen. However, steady incremental work and change is also a proven path. I don’t recommend looking for humiliation and suffering, but rather, shifting how we make decisions. This will put us on a sure path of healing and change for the better. A shift in perspective and understanding can set us on a new path.
Begin by listening
Each of us has an inner voice that can teach and guide us. Some call it our conscience, the light of Christ, or the Spirit of God. This voice or guidance system can be very subtle and quiet. This Spirit or consciousness communicates directly with our spirit. The challenge of course is that most of us are unaccustomed to listening to and recognizing the thoughts and impressions that come from God.  Here is my experience in how this works.

Spiritual communication often appears to us like a positive thought that just pops into our heads….BING! That is the Spirit of God communicating with us. The problem is, we usually take credit for these thoughts and as a result, we don't usually act on it. Let me give you an example:
You're driving home from work or you are on the computer or you're watching TV, whatever it is, and all of a sudden you have a thought pop into your head (BING!!) to call so-and-so. Now, so-and-so is a friend of yours who you haven’t seen in five years, and you haven't even thought about in two years. But, all of the sudden, while you're doing this one thing (BING!), I need to call so-and-so. But you think it's your thought so, you say, “I will. I will when I am done doing this.” Then, when you're done, you have already forgotten about it and so, never call. And you don’t feel badly about it because you figure it was just your idea.
Does it make sense that, out of the blue, you would be thinking about this person that you haven’t thought about in years, while doing something completely unrelated? No, the Spirit of God knew that that person needed to hear from you right then. And that is why you had that thought. Understand that inspiration and guidance from God will always be about doing something good that will bless someone's life. It will not be self serving and will not cause harm to another.

But how can you tell the difference between the Spirit prompting you and when it's just your own thought? All I can say is be confident in the first insight or impression that suddenly pops into your mind. I have learned that when I begin making excuses or arguing and rationalizing in my mind why I can’t or shouldn’t follow the directive, then it is almost for sure that the prompting IS coming from God. When we begin to second-guess, even third-guess our feelings or impressions, we are dismissing the Spirit. We are questioning the divine counsel. First promptings should be considered pure inspiration from heaven. When they come to us, we need to recognize them for what they are and not let them slip past. As we follow this inspiration of reaching out to someone in need, the door to ongoing and increasing divine guidance will become more and more clear.
The truth is, when you get the thought, idea or prompting to do something good, it just doesn't matter if it is your own thought or from God, just do it. Just act on it. Now let's think about it for a second. If it really was your idea, (and it probably wasn't) - most often it will be God’s Spirit- and you do it, will God be mad? Of course not. However, if it was a prompting from God and you don't do it, you risk losing His confidence in you and the next time he may have to prompt someone else to accomplish the good or blessing in someone else's life.

I challenge you to make this rule for yourself. “Any positive thought to say or do something is a prompting from God until proven otherwise. Just act on it!” Every time we act on a prompting, it's like we are tuning in to our Heavenly Radio. So, each time we act on it, it will be a little clearer and easier to understand. Through the weeks, months and years of acting on the “BING” of these thoughts, your communication and relationship with the Divine will crystallize and become undeniable.
Understand that this path is not the easy one. You will be asked to do things and speak to people that will at times be uncomfortable and difficult. You may be called upon to confront others with things they may not want to hear. The work of God is not always graciously accepted. Inspiration can be subtle or grand.

Just the other day I set out to purchase something, checked to make sure the business was open and while en route, I was prompted to give the business a call. I pulled over, looked up the number and called. It turned out that the business was out of stock of what I needed. I thanked God for saving me an hour and a half of driving and was able to redirect my morning. While this example is simple and somewhat insignificant, you can expect to also receive promptings that can be life changing. It will become easier to extend and stretch yourself out of your comfort zone with time and practice.
And so here’s the point. The pathway to real honest to goodness transformation, which aligns your heart, mind, body and soul, is to become so in tune with the thoughts and impressions you receive in your mind that your will and desires becomes God’s will and desire. With diet, this may mean that you will be prompted to begin to choose, more and more often, those foods which enliven and nourish your body (your body, bytheway, is literally, not figuratively, a temple or dwelling place for God). The prompting can be as simple as “you’re full - stop eating”.

As we enter this pathway of listening and obeying and doing good things, at some point you will realize that you are not the same person you used to be. Ezra Taft Benson put it very well when he said, “Men and women who turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more out of their lives than they can. He can deepen their joys, expand their vision, quicken their minds, strengthen their muscles, lift their spirits, multiply their blessings, increase their opportunities, comfort their souls, and pour out peace.” You turn your life over to God as you listen and follow.

This is how transformation occurs. By listening and following impressions, you will begin to change. This is what Jesus taught about losing your life (focusing on blessing others) to find your life (transforming your life into one of peace and assurance with God). Transformation cannot and will not ever happen by focusing on yourself, your pain, your problems or the self-absorbed chaos so many of us are living in.
Every journey starts with the first step: beginning where you stand right now. Experiment on this concept of acting on the impressions that pop into your mind. Determine that when the first thought or idea pops into your head to do something (something good), that you will instantly act upon it. Of course, not every thought that comes into your mind is from God. The Adversary, or Satan, can also put a thought in your head, but it is rarely the first thought. It will also not be a thought that will help or bless someone's life.

I understand this is a hard doctrine and few are ready or willing to embrace it. But if you are truly searching for truth and desire to be an instrument in God's hands for doing good and blessing the lives of those He puts on your path or within your circle of influence, I challenge you to take this seriously, opening your heart and mind. Take the bold steps of listening and obeying. Of course, it’s difficult. But this is The Way.
Blessings,

We Need Grandmas!

We Need Grandmas!
What we really need, and I'm being serious here, is grandmas. Hear me out on this. In years gone by, when someone was sick, injured or had contracted a disease, professionally trained doctors were not always available. As a result, people had to take it upon themselves for the vast majority of health related problems. This care typically fell into the hands of those who were the most compassionate, patient, experienced and no nonsense individuals. Who could that be? You guessed it - Grandma! With a lifetime of experience, grandma (not all grandma's but many) seemed to have a remedy for just about everything.

As years and technology pressed itself upon us, established authority, using tactics of fear and intimidation, began to undermine the confidence of many of the tried and true remedies of the past. Most of our mothers were conditioned to take their kids to the doctor for a myriad of conditions that in times past were simply treated at home. As a result, constant and insistent drumming of the marketing of inferior and convenient foods and drugs, the health of our nation is in poor shape. Those who are in positions of authority are driven by deep pockets urging, even demanding, the prescribed course of treatment, which is usually a drug. While there are many in the medical field who are sincere in their intent to truly do what is best for the patient, the system truly is broken.

I have seen some significant positive changes in the nearly 30 years I have been in practice as a chiropractic physician, but the greed/profit motives behind so many powerful organizations (medical, insurance, pharmaceutical, government and food processing companies) are corrupt and I am afraid beyond reform.

So this is where you come in. If you're a grandma, GREAT! If you are not, but you love a grandma, then you also qualify. We need to learn as much as we can to take care of those we love. We are not inviting you or even encouraging you to get involved in HEROIC Medicine. When a life is at risk or teetering on the brink, heroic medicine is truly in order. Get them to the emergency room for the lifesaving care that they may need. What you want to be is an UN-HERO. Someone who takes care of minor problems. Those aches and pains, those minor injuries - the bumps and bruises. The fleeting digestive pain. The fatigue, the blues and 'I just don't feel good' syndromes. By taking care of the uneventful and mundane, little problems can be turned around before they become big problems. You can avert the crisis that needs a siren and catastrophic insurance reimbursement.

We need Grandmas. We need your love, your wisdom and your no nonsense approach to life. You're life has not been an easy one. You've been there, done that and truly learned from the school of hard knocks. We need you learn natural home remedies. Remedies from your kitchen and from your garden. We need you to learn to put your compassion and heart into your healing hands. And then, we need you to teach your children and grandchildren, so they can become the grandmas of the next generation. The world is not going to get better without you. If you feel at all called to this work, please take it seriously. I am convinced that the world cannot be saved without grandma.

To help you in this endeavor, we have put together a series of manuals on Healing at Home (available on our shop at http://drkylechristensen.net/shop.htm). These manuals include the following:

1) Herbal Remedies

2) Cold Laser Therapy

3) Allergy Elimination

4) Healing and Health with Herbs

5) Healing in the Kitchen - What to buy, store, eat and how to make it.
So your 15 year-old comes home from school on a Thursday with a nasty cough. She has also got a temperature (cheeks are red and flushed) and clearly doesn't feel good. She is on the verge of tears and is upset about something that's being going on at school during the week.

So you put on your Grandma gloves and set to work. You give her a hug, tell her that you love her and that you'll take good care of her. She knows you will because that's what you always do.

She goes on to tell you that it hurts to swallow and several of her friends are already on antibiotics for strep throat. She really wants to go to the dance on Saturday night, so she needs you to get her better really fast.

Remember, your job is to be the un-hero. She doesn't need emergency medical care but if neglected or treated improperly this condition could worsen to the point that medical intervention may be necessary.

Using the model we have established with our Healing @ Home workshops, we could do the following:
Herbal
We want to boost her immune system so that her body can fight whatever is going on. The body can fight infection faster and more effectively than any drug or supplement, so we want to support the body's own natural processes.
1) Use an immune boosting formula such as Immune Boost or Anti-Plague Syrup. I recommend this every waking hour.
2) For the sore throat, mix 1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper with 1 TBS of raw honey. It is hot, but very soothing. This can be done every three hours or as needed.
3) We want to flush the impurities from the body, so she will be drinking a lot (meaning 6 to 8 cups) of tea before she goes to bed for the night. Yes, she'll have to pee a lot, but that is what we want. Choose yarrow (doesn't taste good, but very effective), peppermint or chamomile. The key is to drink a lot. You recently purchased a French Press to make you tea, so it is easy to use tea purchased in bulk.
Cold Laser
1) Use the laser directly in the mouth shining the beam to the back of the sore throat. The laser will increase the hydrogen peroxide within the cells and have an anti-bacterial effect.
2) Use the acupuncture protocol in the Cold Laser Manual for Immune System and Cough. Treat these points 3 times daily. Ten seconds on each point.
Allergy Elimination
Perform the Allergy Elimination procedure for Virus and Bacteria. This can be done by having her spit into a jar or plastic baggy, sealing it and using that as your treatment vial. As she holds in her hand the virus or bacteria contained within the jar or baggy, you will balance the acupuncture meridians by rubbing the acupoints described within the manual. Her body will recognize these pathogens for what they are and mount a greater defense.
Emotions, Energy & Angels
Emotions trapped or buried alive never dies, but have a direct effect on our health and how our immune system functions. With a muscle test you can determine if there are trapped emotions that are influencing your daughters health. Specific emotions can be identified using the chart in the manual or you can ask if there are multiple layers of emotions (how many layers and how many emotions within those layers). The treatment is performed by stroking the magnet down her spine. I will ask the body how many times or you can just do it until you feel complete. Since you didn't want to fork out $150 for the ultra super fancy Mag-Roller like the one Dr. Christensen uses, the $5 cow magnet works just as well.

From an Energy stand point, you have already used the cold laser on the acupuncture points as well as rubbed the acupoints with the allergy elimination. I think you are covered pretty well there. Be sure you are sending prayers of love, gratitude, healing and safety. There is great power with an intentional blessing with the "laying on of hands" in the Christian sense as described in the Bible.

Finally, you ask, in prayer for the Lord to guide your daughters angels (yes we all have guardian angels, and yes they are real) to direct her healing. Ask for inspiration and guidance. It is our belief that her recovery will be speedy and complete, unless she is "appointed unto death", meaning it is her time, the Lord wants her to come home and nothing you can do will alter that.
Healing in the Kitchen
Two nights ago, you had a roasted chicken for dinner and since that time, the bones have been simmering in the crock pot. You have a rich bone broth that is ready to be used. For those of you not as conveniently prepared, you certainly have bone broth previously made in the fridge (keeps for 4 weeks) or in the freezer (keeps for 6 months). With the bone broth, you made chicken noodle soup. We go extra heavy with the fresh garlic and ginger. Potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, thyme, sage, sea salt round out the recipe. You add noodles at the end which thickens the soup up and because you know she likes those silly alphabet noodles she used to spell words with on her spoon. This gives her comfort and makes her feel loved.

She is put to rest (not in the sense that she is dead, but made comfortable in bed). Quiet, peaceful and lovely music is played - what she calls her Sunday Music. TV and Videos are not an option, because you know the spirit that attends those is not always conducive to healing.

By the next morning she is feeling significantly improved. She stays home from school because you know that even though she says she feels better and has a test she needs to take, she could easily relapse if pushed too hard. You keep up all the therapies and since she feels better, she can do some of them on her own. You see, she is a grandma in training.

By Saturday morning, she is completely well and is feeling cabin fever wanting to go out with her friends. You strike a deal with her, continue with the treatments (herbal, cold laser, allergy, emotions, angels and chicken soup) and she can go to the dance with her friends.

So there you have it. Does this seem like a lot of work? Of course it does, and it is, but her recovery is complete. The key with this whole process is you are being guided by your intuition and spiritual prompting. I know I will get asked, "Do I need to do everything?!". The answer is, you need to be willing to do everything and more. Remember you are the Grandma (or Grandpa) and you are willing to do whatever it takes. You understand that life is not convenient and sometimes plans get cancelled or changed. You are here to help and serve, to bless and care for, to teach and train by example.

I hope this was helpful. If you have not yet taken all of our classes, please consider doing so if you feel prompted or inspired to.
Blessings,

Dr. Kyle Christensen

Informed Consent

Informed Consent and Other Absurdities
Kyle Christensen, DC January 2021
We live in a time where truth can be whatever you decide it to be. The ancient prophet Isaiah talks about the day when good would be called evil and evil good. Bitter would be called sweet and darkness would be called light. (Isaiah 5:20).

We have come to a place in our country where we are being pulled to one side or the other. Many see neighbors and even family members as the opposition. Rather than exercising our political rights and working together for an honest outcome, we listen to talking points of fractured truths. Each side accusing the other of "fake news".  Lines have been drawn and too readily we are influenced to one side or the other, all the while becoming convinced that the other side is delusional or intellectually compromised. What is discouraging is how difficult it is to have an honest and open conversation with an effort to establish agreed upon facts coming to reasonable conclusions. I am wary of those who quickly fall into shouting and name calling rather than engaging in a civil discussion.

With that said, let me touch on several issues and some truths I adhere to.
COVID
COVID-19 has changed the world. We all have heard stories that question the honesty of how things are being handled. The divide between those who wear masks and those who question their validity is immense. We see studies that support each side of each issue. And of course, depending on who you listen to, you are pushed to think the opposing side doesn’t care, doesn’t understand, etc.  Many of us suspect we are being manipulated. We should all agree that the shutdown has not been good, socially and financially.

Honestly, we want and I believe we can handle the truth. It is okay that the truth trickles in slowly. It’s okay for medical and political leaders to admit what we first thought was wrong or incomplete. And now, based on more current information, we need to shift what we do.
The Great Barrington Declaration (https://gbdeclaration.org/) which discusses the COVID situation, I believe is a rational consideration. And whether you agree with the conclusions or not, it should be discussed and not dismissed because it doesn’t jive with one side or the others agenda. We want and need an open and honest discussion that doesn’t involve name calling or shouting.
Vaccinations
Putting all of our hope in a hastily manufactured vaccine with questionable patents and technologies, to me, is worrisome. I have long been an advocate for Informed Consent when it comes to vaccines. Please, please give me the truth. I will not be satisfied when I am told that all vaccines are safe, when the evidence demonstrates otherwise. Do not make vaccines mandatory. Even if this vaccine were safe, the precedent of mandating it opens the door for more and more mandates. Let’s have some honest research (not funded by those who stand to profit). Then with honest information, let individuals decide whether or not they want the vaccine. If after studying and learning the truth, someone wants to vaccinate themself and their kids, they should have the right to do so. But informed consent also demands that if someone through research and discovery chooses not to vaccinate, that should be honored as well.
Politics/Elections
The constitution is pretty clear in that we should have elections that represent the voice of the people. We are a democratic republic which means we elect representatives to vote on our behalf. We are not a democracy which is basically the popular vote rules. Agree with this or not, that's the law of our land. We are also promised transparency in the election and political process. Those who disagree with the process have the law-given right to contest the results. When results are contested, they must be examined. This was true when Democratic Rep. Barbara Boxer contested George Bush’s election over John Kerry in 2004 and it is true today when representatives and senators have the right to contest the election results of Joe Biden and Donald Trump. There is a legal process which should be observed and followed, independent of the rage and cries of either party or the media.
Food and Nutrition
We have had marketers and advertisers for decades now that flat out and absolutely lie to us about their products. Proof and validation of their claims is not legally required. We were told for years that coconut oil will clog your arteries so that more Crisco oil could be sold (which does in fact clog your arteries). We have sugar, in all of it’s evil permutations, enticing us at every meal even though research clearly shows the direct connection between a plethora of chronic health conditions from obesity and diabetes to heart attacks, strokes, liver disease, and osteoarthritis. Yet added sugar and its sinister emissary high fructose corn syrup are given a free pass in the media and marketplace with about 80% of all food items in the grocery store containing some amount of added sugar (not to mention all of the fast and convenience foods constantly on display).

The truth with foods based on my understanding (which is highly validated with lots of research) is that we should be eating whole natural foods. We should be chewing our food thoroughly and eating slowly. We should drink water. Fruit juices and soda pop lead to illness and disease. Seriously, I don’t need to tell you what you should be eating, and for that matter I shouldn’t have to remind you to slow down, but changing habits that are continually being reinforced by the media are hard to break, especially when marketing and advertising promotes unhealthy foods and practices. Want more information on my views for eating healthy and losing weight? Check out our recommended diet plan (The LAW Diet) and our views on how to lose weight in a healthy manner.

I want the truth. I want evil and corruption to be fully exposed. I want dishonest deeds, secret dealings and treasonous activity blown wide open. I don’t care if the truth implicates conservatives or liberals, republicans or democrats, christians or any others. I want evil behavior exposed and shouted from the housetops (Luke 12:3). For me this is especially true for those involved in the sex slavery industry. Of course, the modern-day version of shouting from the rooftops is the internet. One challenge with this of course is the tight and protective censorship of the tech industry and the media, which seem to protect and buoy up evil while mocking and shutting down anything that is contrary to their objectives. Surely the fox is ruling the hen house.

It is my intent to respect the legal rights of others and in return have my rights honored. While some are claiming informed consent is absurd because people are not smart enough to understand the complexities that govern their own health and safety, I strongly disagree. Gone are the days when only the doctors can figure out what to do about health issues and politicians can only understand complex civil issues. We have access, with the internet, to just about everything (except the secret backroom dealings and deceptive things purposefully kept from our eyes).

There will come a day when each of us will choose where we stand. The division has begun and the chasm between opposing sides grows wider with each passing day and event. It is my prayer that we will each align ourselves on the side of truth and righteousness. On the side of freedom and liberty. On the side of fairness and not looking for more free stuff and false promises of security. Benjamin Franklin wisely spoke “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

I pray that when the division and separation in society fully occurs, each person will be on the side of their choosing with full understanding and knowledge that this is where they want to be. I pray that no one will think they are fighting for liberty, goodness and what is right only to realize too late their ladder is leaning against the wrong wall.

Blessings,

Dr Kyle Christensen
